About Booking Transfer Trips

When your site provides service to an area with multiple regions and those regions are covered by different providers, you can use the transfer trips feature in PASS.

In Trip Administration, the trip, with different providers and consisting of a transfer, is shown as one trip. In Schedule Editor, however, it is shown as multiple trips (that is, the trip with its different legs). Set up a single trip with multiple legs and transfers that cross polygons with different providers.

Steps involved in creating transfer trips include:

• Reviewing your property settings.
• Creating a subtype to identify transfer trips and establishing common transfer points in ancillary data.
• Creating transfer trip polygons.
• Marking certain bus stops as transfer points.
