Creating Subscription Bookings

A subscription booking is created once and the trip is repeated at specific intervals.

Before you begin

Trip Booking must be open.

About this task

A subscription trip may be repeated on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. Before defining date interval rules for subscription bookings, click Tools > System Properties, and on the Profile tab, click PASS Booking Client. Confirm that the Weekly Count property is defined to suit the requirements of your site. This setting can be changed by a system administrator.

Procedure

  1. In the Client field, search for and select the client.
  2. Select the Subscription option.
  3. In the Booking subtype field next to the option, choose the appropriate subtype for subscriptions. For example, REG.
  4. In the Client field, type the name of the client.
  5. Enter all other necessary information as you would for a casual booking. You cannot fill in the Date field.
  6. To enter the subscription as a request that will not be activated, select the Pending check box on the Supplementary Data tab.

The Pending option is circled in red.

A pending subscription is not activated until its status is changed to active.

Clear the check box if the subscription is to be activated.

The Pending option is available only if the system property defined in Tools > System Properties, on the Profile tab, under PASS Booking Client > Use Subscription Pending Status is set to Yes.
Note that the pending option is selected by default when Use Subsciption Pending Status is set to Yes.
  7. Click the Calendar button:
Open book with the number 1 on the left page and the number 2 on the right page.
The Date Intervals dialog box appears.
The Date Intervals dialog box with Match Criteria set to All match.
  8. Define the required rules to determine when the subscription is to be activated.
If you create a subscription booking without adding date interval rules, the rules selected in the Default Date Interval property are used for the booking. To view this setting, click Tools > System Properties, on the PASS Booking Client tab, under Default Date Interval. Options in this property are defined in Date Intervals ancillary data.
  9. Click the Save button.
  10. Optional: Activate the subscription.
