About Booking Itineraries

Trips for a single client can be linked together. These are known as itinerary bookings.

Linking trips is useful when you need to keep track of a group of trips where one trip is dependent on another.

For example:

  • Outbound trips and return trips
  • Multi-leg itineraries. For example, a client has three trips in a single day traveling from A to B, B to C, and C to A.
  • Miscellaneous trips spread over different dates (in order to facilitate the confirmation of trip information to clients for their various trips)

When you link trips together, each trip maintains a unique booking ID but shares a single itinerary ID. When you cancel one booking, you can cancel all bookings in the itinerary simultaneously. When you schedule itinerary bookings, you can schedule each booking separately or generate solution sets for all bookings in the itinerary.

Itinerary bookings are highlighted in a specific color for easy identification in Trip Administration and the Client/Booking Info dialog box.
