Editing Polygons

Some maps have preexisting polygons such as Parks, Buildings, or Water.

Before you begin

Open the Polygons screen.

About this task

Do not edit or delete preexisting polygons.

Procedure

  1. In the upper pane, select the appropriate polygon type from the Dataset list.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Type a name in the Name Filter field (or use % and part of a name) and click Find.
    • Click Find to select all polygons for the selected dataset.

    A list of polygons appears on the left side of the map.

  3. Double-click the polygon that to be edited.
    A screen appears with polygon information.
  4. Edit the polygon as needed.
