Lookback Horizon
A look-back period used specifically in policies that have a Violation Calculation Type of Flag Periods.
The Lookback Horizon defines the number of defined Time Period Units (for example, months or quarters) that should be checked for individual time periods (also defined by Time Period Units) that meet defined sanction level thresholds. The starting point for this check is the most recent time period before the current time period. For example, if the Lookback Horizon is 6 months and the current date is October 5th, checks September, August, July, June, May, and April. A little over a month later, when the date is November 13th, October is checked and April is no longer checked.
look-back period
A period of time to check, beginning with the current date or the most recently passed period of time that matches the defined time period unit.
In Service Infractions this may be a Look.
