About Runcutting
Runcutting is the process of developing or cutting runs from a group of vehicle blocks. Runs are composed of complete blocks or segments of blocks.
About Runcutting Approaches
BlockBuster provides two runcutting approaches: manual and automatic.
Automatic Runcutting
When you select Automatic runcutting, the scheduling algorithms in BlockBuster use the scheduling constraints you have defined in the parameters.
Pausing Automatic Runcutting
If for some reason, you must temporarily stop the runcutting process, use the Pause feature.

If for some reason, you must temporarily stop the runcutting process, use the Pause feature.

On the Runcutter screen, click Pause.
The BlockBuster Runcutter Paused dialog appears.
To continue, choose one of the following steps:
- To keep the results of the runcut up to the point you paused the runcut, click Save.
- To resume the runcut, click Continue.
- To abandon the runcut, click End.
If you are performing a runcut of Serious Runcutting depth and Serious Runcutting effort, you may choose to change the message level. Setting the message level to Fatal Errors or None ensures that computations are not suspended if you are away from your workstation because the system is waiting for you to respond to an inconsequential message.
