About Shifting Reliefs

The Shift Relief function is only used in manual runcutting.

It is used to show you the results and costs of shifting the time at a relief point on a run. Shifting reliefs may have a direct impact on the overall cost of the whole division. This cost is usually reflected by the Total Pay and Pay to Platform ratio.

For example, the Pay to Platform ratio could be skewed if you include part-time or extra-board pieces which typically have the lowest cost. Keep this in mind when using Pay/Plat as an indicator of finding the most desirable solution.
