Deadheads Screen Features

The upper section of the Deadheads tab contains fields and controls that enable you to filter deadheads data that you need. The grid in the lower section displays the results that match the filters that you selected.

The following table explains the fields and controls on the Deadheads tab.
Fields Description
Fr.Node (From Node) Garage or Node where the deadhead starts. The Node names are shown in this format: NodeAbbr (Node ID) (Agency Abbr). The Agency abbreviation is shown if you are in a multi-agency environment.
To Node Garage or Node where the deadhead ends. The Node names are shown in this format: NodeAbbr (Node ID) (Agency Abbr). The Agency abbreviation is shown if you are in a multi-agency environment.
Fr.Line (From Line) Line to which the start node belongs. It is available if the Line Dependent Deadheads system property is set to Yes. For more information, contact your system administrator.
To Line Line to which the end node belongs. It is available if the Line Dependent Deadheads system property is set to Yes. For more information, contact your system administrator.
Fr.Time (FromTime) Earliest time that the deadhead is valid.
To Time Latest time that the deadhead is valid.
Deadhead Times Time it takes a vehicle to travel between nodes or between a garage and a node that form a deadhead.

Operational signs

Used with the Fr.Time, To Time, and Deadhead Times fields:
  • > = Greater than or equal to
  • < = Lesser than or equal to
  • = Equal to

Missing Times

If selected, the system identifies deadheads whose times have not been set or assigned.
Integrity If selected, the system checks for deadheads that have overlapping time intervals.
In Use

If selected, the Interline and Garage deadheads that are used by the line group in the context are displayed in the grid.

Interline

If selected, the system identifies deadheads that are from a node to another node. This is selected by default.

Garage

If selected, the system identifies deadheads that are from a garage to a node or vice versa. If the UseGarage As Default Deadhead Type property is set to Yes, garage deadheads are displayed on the grid by default.

Line Group

Line group from which you want to search for deadheads. If you select All, all of the deadheads belonging to the service group you selected in the Set Mode dialog box appear.

Reset Clears previous search data to allow you to type or select another set of filtered data.
Display Shows the data that matches the filter criteria on the grid.

DT (Deadhead Type)

Shows which trips are the following deadhead types:

Pull-In, Pull-Out, and Interline. (These are mainly used in the UK.)

The column is displayed if the user-defined property, Use Implied Deadheads is set to No.
Note: Used by sites that do not use implied deadheads.
