In addition to setting up the required ancillary data, another important component you have to complete before you can build your trips is route definition.
About Nodes and Stops
A node is a designated timing point that is used in building trips. A stop is a physical point or location where a vehicle stops to pick up (load) or drop off (unload) passengers.
Copying Nodes and Stops
Copy existing nodes and stops from one direction to the other in a line, for example, create a Southbound direction with information from the already existing Northbound direction.
Copying Line Traces
You can copy a route trace from a line in another sign-up period to an existing line in the current sign-up period.
Changing the Prefix
You can change the prefix of the stop, for example, from BUGREB to GRBUEB.

Copy a line trace on the Copy tab of the Nodes Edit dialog box.

Select the check box above the second right frame.
The second frame is activated while the first frame is shaded. The Preserve last option is selected by default.
Perform one of the following steps:
- To maintain the last two characters, type "2" in the characters field and type "GRBU" in the Prefix field.
- To delete the first characters, click Delete first and type "4" in the characters field to delete the first four characters. Type "GRBU" in the Prefix field.
Click Change Stop Abbreviations.
The revised stop abbreviation appears in the New StopAbbr column in the left frame.
Click OK.
