In addition to setting up the required ancillary data, another important component you have to complete before you can build your trips is route definition.
About Nodes and Stops
A node is a designated timing point that is used in building trips. A stop is a physical point or location where a vehicle stops to pick up (load) or drop off (unload) passengers.
Copying Nodes and Stops
Copy existing nodes and stops from one direction to the other in a line, for example, create a Southbound direction with information from the already existing Northbound direction.
Copying Line Traces
You can copy a route trace from a line in another sign-up period to an existing line in the current sign-up period.
Changing the Suffix
You can change the suffix of the stop, for example, from EB to NB.

You can change the suffix of the stop, for example, from EB to NB.

Copy a line trace on the Copy tab of the Nodes Edit dialog box.

To maintain the first four characters of the abbreviation, Type "4" in the characters field and type "NB" in the Suffix field.
Optional: To delete characters, click Delete last. To delete the last two characters, type "2" in the characters field and type "NB" in the Suffix field.
Click Change Stop Abbreviations.
The revised stop abbreviation appears in the New StopAbbr column in the left pane.
Click OK.
