Entering Report and Clear Times for Runs

An operator may be required to report to the vehicle earlier than the start of the run and stay to complete a few tasks after the run is finished.

Before you begin

Runs must be open.

Procedure

  1. Search for the run to which to enter report and clear times.
  2. Click the Detail tab.
  3. Type the following information:
    Report Time
    The number of minutes required for the operator to report to the vehicle before the start of the run. For example, 10.
    Clear Time
    The number of minutes required for the operator to attend to the vehicle after run is finished. For example, 15.
  4. Click the Save button:
    Diskette.

Results

The system inserts a dwell time for the report time at the pull-out location and a dwell time for the clear time at the pull-in location. These times can be seen in Schedule Editor's Run Itinerary view.

Schedule Editor Run Itinerary view shows a 10 minute dwell time at the pull-out location (for Report Time) and a 15 minute dwell time at the pull-in location (for Clear Time). The ETA and ETD for the pull-in location differ by 15 minutes (matching the Report time).
