Trip Selection Options for Batch Jobs

Options available on the Trip Selection tab allow batch job parameters to be applied to specific sets of trips.

Table 1. Description of Trip Selection Options Used for Batch Jobs
Trip Filters Description
Booking SubTypes Select bookings assigned specific booking subtypes.

If no selection is made, all bookings regardless of subtype are included.

From Distance

Select trips with a total trip distance equal to or greater than the specified value. For example, 5.

The type of distance (for example, miles or kilometers) is determined by the format selected for the Distance property in File > Properties, on the Formats tab. If another format is selected, the system automatically converts the distance value to the new format.

From Time Bookings with a SchTime or ReqTime equal to or later than this time (for example, 9:00) will be included in the job.

If the SchTime is set, it overrides ReqTime in the comparison.

Funding Source Select bookings that have been flagged with a specific funding source. Select one or more check boxes in this list.

Funding sources are defined in File > Ancillary Data > Para > Pricing > Funding Sources.

Location

Select trips by location.

The button beside the Location field toggles between the following options: PU, DO, and PU&DO. For example, selecting PU filters only trips with pick-ups at the selected locations.

Click the ellipsis button (…) beside the field to open a screen to select locations and/or location types.

Para Services Select bookings assigned to specific service types. If no selection is made, bookings for all service types are included.
Providers Select bookings assigned to specific providers. If no selection is made, bookings for all providers are included.
Runs

Specify runs from which you want to schedule trips if Reschedule or the Schedule the Unscheduled and Unschedule All Selected First check boxes are selected on the Parameters tab of the New Batch dialog box.

To specify runs from which you want to schedule trips:

  1. Click the ellipsis (…) button beside the Runs field.

The Select Runs dialog box appears.

  2. Specify filter criteria in the Filter area and click Display.

Run names appear in the lower pane of the dialog box.

  3. Click each run from which you want to schedule trips to select it.
  4. Click OK.

The run names appear in the Runs field.

Send Status Select bookings that have been flagged with a specific send status. Select one or more check boxes in this list.
Space Types Select bookings that have one of the specific space types. If no selection is made, all space types are included.
Time Window Length

Duration of time in seconds. Used with the Time Window Offset filter, this filter forms a dynamic booking from/to time window based on the time the batch job starts.

The From time is calculated in the following manner: current time + Time Window Offset.

The To time is calculated in the following manner: current time + Time Window Offset + Time Window Length.

If the resulting To time exceeds 24:00 then it is treated as the resulting time within the same date, not the next date.

Time Window Offset See description for Time Window Length. If the Time Window Length is 0 (or null), this setting is not applicable.
To Distance

Select trips with a total trip distance equal to or less than the specified value. For example, 20.

The type of distance (for example, miles or kilometers) is determined by the format selected for the Distance property in File > Properties, on the Formats tab. If another format is selected, the system automatically converts the distance value to the new format.

To Time Bookings with a SchTime or ReqTime equal to or earlier than this time (for example, 20:00) will be included in the job.

If SchTime is set, it overrides ReqTime in the comparison.

Violations

Search for and reschedule trips with specific violations.

Type the violations separated by commas (,). For example, if you type SL10,OB15,CAP, the system reschedules trips with:

  • Schedule Late violations (exceeding the schedule time by more than 10 minutes)
  • OnBoard violations (exceeding the on board time tolerance by more than 15 minutes)
  • Capacity violations
