Activating Live Trips Using the Select Activation Range Dialog Box

New subscriptions created to start on a live schedule that is already loaded are NOT automatically activated.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

About this task

The Select Activation Range dialog box is an older method of activating Live trips.

Procedure

  1. In the Client field, search for and select the client whose booking(s) you want to view.
  2. Select the Sub check box.
  3. Click Display.
    All subscription trips (master records) for the client are shown in the grid.
  4. Highlight the appropriate master records.
    To highlight all records, click the click the leftmost cell in the grid heading row.
  5. Hold the CTRL key while right-clicking and choosing Activate.
    The Select Activation Range dialog box appears.
    The Select Activation Range dialog box for a defined Sched Type, From and To dates, and Weekdays. The Create Weekday Template Bookings option is selected.
  6. Select the Create Date Bookings option.
  7. In the Sched Type list, select Live.
  8. Ensure that the appropriate days are selected in the Weekdays check boxes.
    To prevent errors from occurring, make a habit of selecting every week day, including the days that are not part of your subscription. The system only creates templates for days specified by the subscription.
  9. Click OK.
    The dialog box closes.
  10. Click Display.

What to do next

To display the activated live days, select the Act check box, clear the Sub check box, and click Display.
