Activating Live Trips Using the Subscription Change Wizard

When a new live schedule is loaded, the system automatically activates live records for all subscription trips booked for travel for that schedule date.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

About this task

New subscriptions created to start on a live schedule that is already loaded are NOT automatically activated. In this case, you must manually activate subscriptions to a live schedule.

Procedure

  1. In the Client field, search for and select the client whose booking(s) you want to view.
  2. Select the Sub check box.
  3. Click Display.
    All subscription trips (master records) for the client are shown in the grid.
  4. Highlight the appropriate master records.
    To highlight all records, click the click the leftmost cell in the grid heading row.
  5. Right-click and click Activate.
    The Subscription Change Wizard dialog box appears.
  6. Select the Live Schedules option.
  7. Type the From and To dates.
  8. In the Booking Action field, select Update.
  9. In the Scheduling Action field, select Unschedule and Auto Schedule within violation set.
  10. Select a Violations set.
  11. Click Start.

Results

The system schedules trips to the best possible solution (lowest cost solution) available.

What to do next

In Trip Administration, to display the activated live days, clear the Sub check box, select the Act check box, then click Display.
