Plotting Polygons Based on Route

Polygons can be created by the system based on defined routes.

Before you begin

The Polygon Properties dialog box should be open.

Procedure

  1. Click the Edit tab.
  2. Select a Route to base the polygon on.
  3. Click the Plot tab.
  4. In the Auto Definition frame, type the radius for the polygon in the Radius from route field.
    For example, typing 2 sets the polygon boundary two kilometers from the route on either side (when you have kilometers selected as your Distance format in File > Properties, on the Formats tab).
  5. Click Define.

Results

The polygon is automatically defined on the map.
