Reviewing Paraservice Area Rules Before Completing a Booking

Certain rules of travel may be defined for specific service types.

Before you begin

Trip Booking must be open.

About this task

The rules defined in Para Service Area Rules ancillary data apply globally to all bookings if the Check Paraservice Area property (found in File > Properties, on the Booking Screen tab) is set to Yes. Individual clients can be excluded from this system check.

Procedure

  1. Click the Add New button:
    Piece of paper with a folded top right corner and a star on the left-hand corner.
  2. In the Date field, specify the date for the booking.
  3. In the Paraservice field, select the required service type.
    N/A shows all paraservice area rules for all service types.
  4. Click the Client Eligibility Rules button:
    Piece of paper with a pin in it.
    The Client Eligibility Rules dialog box appears.
    The Client Eligibility Rules dialog box shows three different eligibility rules: TR, INC, and DK.
  5.  Click the red, double-headed arrow:
    Red double-headed arrow.
    The title bar is renamed Service Area Rules. (Click the double-headed arrow again to display Client Eligibility Rules).
    Paraservice area rules applicable to the date specified for the selected service type are shown.
    The Service Area Rules dialog box shows rules for the ADA ParaService.
  6. Review the service area rules and make changes in the booking where necessary so that it complies with the paraservice area rules.
    The Service Area Rules dialog box shows all rules for the selected paraservice type that are valid for the specified date.
