Trip Booking Commands

With Trip Booking open, click the Trip Booking menu for a list of available commands.

Some of these commands can also be accessed from the screen toolbar.

Add New Piece of paper with a folded top right corner and a star on the left-hand corner. Creates a new subscription or casual booking.
Save Diskette. Saves new or edited bookings.
Cancel Diskette with a red X crossed over it. Removes the booking data you have typed from the database. When you select Cancel, a message appears confirming your cancellation.
Refresh Trip Booking menu (Same as pressing F5) Manually updates the screen after changes have been made.

Select this command from the Trip Booking menu or when right-clicking in the screen.

To set an auto refresh time, click File > Properties, click the Workstation tab, then click the Auto refuse rate(s) property.

Information Question mark. Opens the Client/Booking Info dialog box.
Schedule Wizard Three times: 1:07, 1:10, and 1:40. Opens the Schedule Booking Wizard.

This command can be used to schedule saved bookings from Trip Booking.

Client Schedule Wizard Schedule times on top of top hat and bow tie . Saves a booking and places it, along with all other bookings (scheduled or unscheduled for that client) in the Schedule Booking Wizard, where it can be scheduled.
Edit Schedule Trip Booking menu Opens Schedule Editor in the Client Itinerary view of Schedule Editor for schedule editing.
Calendar Open book with the number 1 on the left page and the number 2 on the right page.

This command serves two functions:

When the Casual option is selected and you click this button, a calendar appears with the selected date highlighted. Use the calendar to select one or more dates for the casual booking.

When the Subscription option is selected, click this button to display the Date Intervals dialog box to let you determine when the subscription booking is to be activated.

Reverse Booking Down-facing arrow and up-facing arrow.

Creates a return trip for a booking you have just saved.

Note: If the Show Reverse Icon property (found in Tools > System Properties, on the Profile tab) is set to No, this command is not available and the button is not shown in the tool bar.
Reverse and Link Two arrows forming a circle/ Creates a return trip for a booking you have just saved and links the two bookings together.
Continuation Right-facing arrows. For bookings with multi-leg itineraries (for example, client travels from A to B, B to C, C to A).

Once you have created and saved a booking, you can click this button. A new booking is created for the client. In the new booking, the Origin fields are populated with the address of the first booking’s destination and the Destination fields are empty. The new booking is linked to the first booking by an itinerary ID.

Zoom Magnifying glass. Zooms to the Origin and/or Destination of your booking on the system map.
Find Binoculars. Opens the Find Bookings dialog box.
Subscription Change Wizard Hand holding a wand. Opens the Subscription Change Wizard.

It is available only after creating or editing a subscription booking.

It is not available if the Pending option is selected for the booking.

Reset Yes to All Flags Trip Booking menu

When a booking is saved, the system proceeds with a series of checks to make sure the booking complies with various rules defined in Trip Booking properties.

For each check, three options are given:
No
Cancel the save activity.
Yes
Proceed with the save activity despite the check.
Yes to All
Bypass all other subsequent warning messages.

This option is useful particularly when the system performs an individual check for each client in a group trip.

When you use Yes to All, then go back and edit the booking, click the Reset Yes to All Flags option to restore the Yes to All option.

Client Eligibility Rules Piece of paper with a pin in it. Shows travel parameters defined for the client (in Task > Clients, on the Client Eligibility tab) or paraservice rules.
