Creating Exclusive Group Bookings

In exclusive group bookings, clients or groups can be scheduled so that no other clients are on board and no other bookings are scheduled on the same vehicle between the passenger's pick-up and drop-off times.

Before you begin

Trip Booking must be open.

About this task

When batch scheduling template trips for exclusive group purposes, the group optimizer feature attempts to schedule an entire group onto one vehicle. If they cannot all fit into one vehicle, it will try to place the group onto as few vehicles as possible. If the exclusive group is violated, an MG (Mixed Group) violation occurs.

Procedure

Select a group and create a trip.
At minimum, a Date, Client, Req time, Origin, and Destination should be defined.
On the Detail tab, select the Exc. Grp check box.
If you create a booking for a group with only one client in it and select this option, the client is treated as an exclusive group (that is, no other bookings are scheduled on the same vehicle between the passenger's pick-up and drop-off times).
