Charging Incidents and Recording Performance Management Activities

Charge performance incidents and record performance management activities for absences, accidents, customer feedback, employee incidents, and work incidents in the Performance Action screen.

After incidents are charged, the associated records are removed from the screen. Absences where hours are tracked for performance management are obtained from timekeeping data. If your agency tracks absence hours for performance management, a day must be fully costed before you can mark the day's absence records for performance management.
  1. Open the Performance Action screen and set the Context (F3).
    1. Enter the Date on which to find employees.
    2. Select the Agency(s), Division(s), Employee Type(s), and Status Type(s) to view.
    3. Select the Supervisory Group(s) to view.
The OPS > Supervisory Groups > Enable property determines whether supervisory groups are available in Performance Action.
    4. Specify the range for which to view records in the From and To fields.
    5. Select the activity records to view:
      • Absences
      • Accidents
      • Customer Feedback
      • Employee Incidents
      • General Incidents
The OPS > Employee Profile > Customer Feedback Includes Valid Only property determines whether all customer feedback records appear or only those marked as valid.
    6. Select OK.
  2. Select the record to charge as a performance incident.
  3. Select Add Performance Details: Add Performance Details
  4. Select Suggest Action.
The absence, accident, feedback, or incident type must be associated with a performance type or you can't mark the record for performance management.
An Administrative Action is entered as defined in Performance ancillary data.
  5. Update fields as required.
Hour values on records for hour-based performance management are read-only. To change the hours on a performance management record, you must remove the record from performance management and mark the record for performance management again.
  6. Select OK.
The record is charged as a performance incident and no longer appears in the Performance Action screen.
