| Employee Incident | An event caused by an employee's behavior that may or may not have resulted in discipline. For example, an operator getting into an argument with a passenger. |
| General Incident | An event not considered an accident or employee incident that requires documentation. For example, two passengers getting into an altercation on an employee’s vehicle. |
Icons in the Incident column indicate the parent and children of each record. Icons in the Attributes column indicate whether an investigation or performance records were created for the incident.
When creating incident and accident reports, the Add Incident dialog prompts you to specify certain information or search for the employee, work piece, or vehicle involved. This information automatically populates certain fields in the incident record. Otherwise, the Edit Incident dialog appears when you try to enter certain incident record fields.
When creating dependent incident records, some fields are copied from the parent record and others are editable (or editable only if allowed in ancillary data). Some fields only become editable when creating another associated, dependent, or linked record.
Incident and accident records don't need to have an employee, vehicle, or work piece defined, but you can only create an incident for an activated day.
