Adding Other Parties Involved to an Incident Record

Add information about passengers or other parties involved in an incident as needed.

The fields shown may differ based on your agency's customization.
  1. Open the OPS Incidents Admin screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select a record and then Incident Details: Incident Details
  3. In the Incidents Detail dialog, select Parties Involved: Parties Involved
  4. Select Add New.
  5. In the Parties Involved dialog, complete the fields as required.

    Address Enter the party's address.
    Birth Date Enter the party's birth date.
    Comments Enter any additional comments.
    Courtesy Card Received Select if the witness filled out and returned the courtesy card provided by the operator or supervisor at the scene.
    Damage Amount Enter the cost of damages on the associated vehicle.
    Driver City Enter the driver's city.
    Driver State Enter a 2-character abbreviation for the driver's state.
    Gender Enter the party's gender.
    Incident Class Select the incident class.
    Incident Id Automatically completed by the system.
    Injury Type Select the injury type sustained by the party.
    Insurance Company Enter the other party's vehicle's insurance company.
    Insurance Policy Number Enter the other party's vehicle's insurance policy number.
    Insured Enter the other party's vehicle's license plate number.
    License Number Enter the party's license number.
    License State Enter a 2-character abbreviation for the state in which the other party's vehicle is licensed.
    Mobile Phone Enter the other party's mobile phone number.
    Name Enter the name of the other party.
    Other Parties Activity Type Select the activity the other party was engaged in at the time of the incident.
    Other Parties Condition Select the condition of the other party after the incident.
    Other Parties Location Enter the location of the other party.
    Other Parties Was Select the activity/state/condition of the other party at the time of the incident.
    Owner Address Enter the vehicle owner's address.
    Owner City Enter the vehicle owner's city.
    Owner Name Enter the vehicle owner's name.
    Owner ZIP Code Enter the vehicle owner's ZIP code.
    Parties Involved Type Select the type of the party.
    Passenger Count Enter the number of passengers in the vehicle at the time.
    Phone Enter the other party's phone number.
    Sequence Auto-incremented number.
    Vehicle Color Enter the vehicle's color.
    Vehicle Damage Location Select the location of the damage to the other party's vehicle.
    Vehicle Description Enter a description of the vehicle.
    Vehicle Direction Select the direction in which the other party's vehicle was heading.
    Vehicle Motion Type Select the motion of the vehicle during the incident.
    Vehicle Speed Range Select the speed range the vehicle was traveling.
    Year Enter the vehicle's make year.
  6. Select Save Detail.
