About Incident Hierarchy
Incident hierarchy lets you link related incidents through parent records.
You can create parent, dependent, and associated incidents.
- A dependent incident is a consequence or result of its parent incident.
- An associated incident occurs at, or at about, the same time as an incident, but isn't
directly caused by that incident.
For example, if two transit vehicles collided, a parent record should be created for the careless driver and an associated record created for the second driver. Add further dependent and associated records as needed.
