About Templates

Templates are created from master subscription records and are designed to match days of the week.

A template is a mold or pattern. The master record contains all the vital information about the subscription trip, but it is inactive and cannot be scheduled. When you create a template you are, in effect, making a copy of the master record.

Template days are created for every week day specified on the master record. For example, if the subscription runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, you must create Monday, Wednesday, and Friday template days. The subscription trip is activated only on those days. Each template trip is then scheduled to a run and used to match live schedules.

Using templates provides the following advantages:
