Copying and Pasting Trips in Trip Administration

You can duplicate an existing trip that you do not want to cancel for a future date.

Before you begin

Trip Administration must be open.

The copy and paste functions are also available in Schedule Editor and Dispatching screens.

Procedure

  1. Search for the client whose trips are to be copied or moved.
  2. Highlight the booking(s).
  3. Click Trip Admin > Copy Trips.
  4. Click Trip Admin > Paste Trips.
    The Destination Info dialog box appears. The current date and requested pick-up time are shown by default.
  5. Type the future date and/or Req Time for the new booking. If you have a requested drop-off time in the current booking, the Req Time is left blank. If you leave it blank, the new duplicated booking uses the same requested drop-off time as the original. If you enter a new time, this time is used as the requested pick-up time. If you highlighted multiple trips, the Destination Info dialog box only allows you to enter an alternate date. The Req Time field is unavailable.
  6. Click OK.
    A new booking is created for the day and/or time specified. The new booking is designated as a casual trip but the trip information is a duplicate of the original booking.

Results

A duplicate booking is created with the new specified date and/or time. The original booking is not affected.
