Assigning Garages Automatically

You can choose to assign the pull-out and pull-in garages to blocks automatically.

  1. With the Blocking tab open, click Blocking > Garage Assignment.
    The Garage Assignment dialog box appears. The blocks from the Blocked trips grid appear in the Vehicle Blocks grid.
  2. Select the blocks you want.
    Selecting a block enables all the buttons in the dialog box except Save. This button is only activated after you have made a change to any of the records.
  3. To assign Pull-out and Pull-in garages at the same time, click PO/PI.
  4. Optional: Perform the appropriate step depending on which type of garage you want to assign first:
    • To assign Pull-out garages first, click PO/PI. The button changes to a PO button. Click PO.
    • To assign Pull-in garages first, click PO/PI. The button changes to a PI button, click PI.
  5. Click Assign.
    The garages and its associated pull-out times appear in the appropriate garage and time columns in the grid of the Garage Assignment dialog box.
  6. Optional: Do one of the following steps:
    • To change the garage assignments, select the blocks you want and click Remove.
    • Click Close to exit without saving.
  7. Optional: To add comments, select the Pullout/Pullin Comments check box.
  8. After you have completed the garage assignments, highlight the blocks you want to save and click Save.
  9. Click Close.
    If you did not save the garage assignments (step 6) and proceeded to click Close, a message box appears asking if you want to save your changes.
  10. Click Yes.
