About Alternate Roster Bids

Alternate roster bids can be created to assign employees to different work during specific weeks in a roster bid sign-up period.

After bidding for work in an original roster bid, employees can bid for work in an alternate roster bid. Alternate roster bids let employees choose different work for one week during a sign-up period. This work replaces their work assignment from the original roster bid. For example, if an agency sets up an alternate weekend for Thanksgiving week.

After all employees have bid for work in an alternate roster bid, you can replace their original bid rosters with their alternate rosters for the week. After replacing employee work with alternate rosters, you can restore the original bid work (if needed).

Note: To use alternate roster bids, you must use roster scenarios. The property OPS > Work > Fixed Route > Consider Roster Scenarios must be selected to use the Bid Alternate Roster screen.
