Logging Vehicle Change Outs

Log entries that include the type of maintenance activity required can be created for vehicle change outs.

The OPS > Yard Management > Vehicle Change Out properties control whether you can change out a vehicle and the time range in which the change out can be performed.
  1. Open the Dispatch Log screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Create a log event with an Event Type of Vehicle Change Out.
  3. Select the Block involved in the change out.
    The time fields, Change Out Location, and Change Out Location Selection are filled based on the selected Block.
  4. Enter the Replacement Vehicle Number.
    Depending on the setting of the OPS > Yard Management > Vehicle Assignment > Show Available Vehicles Only property there is either a dropdown list of available vehicles or a field to enter a valid vehicle number.
  5. Select the Maintenance Type for the maintenance required by the vehicle being replaced.
  6. Enter any Comments.
  7. In the Block Details section, select the line, direction, and times being changed out.
  8. In the Time Points section, select the location and time being changed out.
  9. Select Apply.
    The Change Out Location field is updated based on the selected Block Details and Time Points.
  10. Select OK.
