Dispatch Commands

Specific commands can be performed in Dispatch.

Client Info Question mark. Opens the Client/Booking Information dialog box.

Select a booking event (that is, a pick-up or drop-off) from the Incidents, Vehicles, or Unscheduled tab, and then click this button.
Perform Dispatch menu Marks an event (pick-up or drop-off) as performed.

For example, the client has boarded the vehicle and the vehicle is ready to depart.
Arrive Dispatch menu

Marks an event (pick-up or drop-off) as arrived (for example, the vehicle has arrived at the client’s pick-up location).

Note: This command is typically only used by sites equipped with MDTs.
Reassign Dispatch menu Opens the Vehicle Assignment dialog box, which lets you reassign vehicles or drivers to runs.

Inactive client and vehicle records are filtered from appearing in list on this screen. When a schedule is activated, Schedule Server removes any preassigned driver or vehicle that is marked as inactive.
Vehicle Assign Dispatch menu Opens the Vehicle Assignment dialog box, which lets you assign vehicles or drivers to runs.
Reschedule Dispatch menu Reschedules a selected trip event (that is, a pick-up or drop-off) in the Schedule Booking Wizard.
Unschedule Dispatch menu Unschedules a scheduled trip.

You will be prompted to confirm the action. Click OK to continue or Cancel to abort the activity.
Cancel Dispatch menu Cancels a selected trip.
Show Itinerary Large green I on columns of text. Shows the run itinerary of a selected incident or run in Schedule Editor.
Client Itinerary Dispatch menu Shows the client itinerary of a selected client in the Incidents or Unscheduled trips list in Schedule Editor.
Zoom* Magnifying glass. Zooms into a selected event on the map if the Display button is pressed.
Follow* Two footprints. Shows all selected events if the Display button is pressed.
Display* Computer monitor with three dots on it. Shows a selected run event or trip on the map.
Show Labels* Flag with the word Label written on it. Shows the address of any selected event with the address of the location if the Display button is pressed.
Poll Bus with question mark. Show the whereabouts of a vehicle.

Polling the vehicle is functional only if you have an AVL (Automated Vehicle Location) system implemented at your site.
Auto refresh Dispatch menu

Updates the screen at the interval defined in Dispatch > Auto refresh rate properties. This feature can be activated from the Dispatch menu or from Dispatch properties.

Note: The auto-refresh feature can dislocate some of the data (when the screen is updated, events and information may shift). To avoid this inconvenience, refresh the screen using the F5 key.
Ivr Trip Dispatch menu Opens the Trip Callout dialog box.
Send SMS Messages Dispatch menu Opens the Send SMS Messages dialog box.
Insert Tracker Action Pencil in hand writing in a book. Inserts a Tracker Action comment about the selected event.
Browse Tracker Action Paper emerging from rectangular box. Review all actions typed about a selected booking, run, or client.

It can be accessed from Trip Administration, Schedule Editor, and Dispatch. This tool also allows you to type additional comments.
Close Partially open door. Closes Dispatch.
