Suspending a Subscription
Suspend subscriptions for a specific date or period that the subscription should not occur.
Before you begin
About this task
You must suspend the rule for each occasion. For example, a client travels every Monday except for the first Monday of the month. When you suspend a subscription, the Schedule Server no longer activates that trip to the live schedule although the template trip remains on the template run. Subscription trips can be suspended from Trip Booking or Trip Administration.
Procedure
-
Open the Date Intervals dialog box:
- In Trip Booking, click Calendar.
- In Trip Administration, type the name of the client in the Client field, select the Sub check box, and click Display. With the subscription booking in the grid, click the Schedule grid cell, and click the drop-down arrow.
-
In the Date Intervals dialog box, in the Rule
Type list, define the rule.
For a single day of exception such as a statutory holiday, click Holiday or Custom in the Rule Type list.
- In the From Date field, specify the first date on which the subscription is to be suspended.
-
In the To Date field, enter the last date on which the
subscription is to be suspended.
The subscription is activated again starting from this date. Dates for Holidays are predefined in the Holidays ancillary screen. No date is necessary in the From Date/To Date fields. For the Custom rule type, enter a From Date only.
- In the Operation list, click Suspended.
- Optional: In the Comment field, type a comment.
-
Click Save.
The Date Intervals dialog box closes and the record is saved for the subscription booking.
- (If performed from Trip Booking) Click Save.
- If the subscription trip has already been activated for dates on which it should be suspended, cancel the activated trip(s) from the live schedule.
