Removing Runs from Rosters

Removing runs refers to taking runs from a roster and creating a new roster with them.

Make sure that the previously defined rosters have been loaded on the Rostering screen and the Edit tab is open.
Depending on the combinations of the runs you select in the Roster grid, the check boxes in the Remove frame appear activated or shaded. The following steps use examples of rosters that you may want to create:
  1. Select a 7-day roster (no Off days created yet) in the Roster grid. to activate .
The check boxes of all days of the week are selected in the Remove frame. (If you selected a 5-day roster, the check boxes of the weekdays are activated while the check boxes for Saturday and Sunday appear shaded.)
  2. In a 7-day roster, select the Mo (Monday) and Tu (Tuesday) check boxes and click Remove.
The two run numbers are removed from the selected roster and become a 2-day On roster. The original 7-day On roster becomes a 5-day On roster.
  3. Select the Split runs check box.
The system takes the two days and puts them into two separate one-day rosters, thereby creating in this example, a Monday roster and a separate Tuesday roster.

If you attempt to remove rosters that have been assigned Off Days, you are notified that they cannot be changed.

If you have selected several rosters that are frozen, a similar message also appears.

  4. To proceed with the removal of the selected rosters, click Yes.
