About Yard Management with Trapeze EAM
When Trapeze OPS is integrated with Trapeze EAM at your agency, additional tasks can be performed.
- View fuel efficiency ratings, odometer readings, and service requests from Trapeze EAM in the OPS Vehicle Profile screen.
- View maintenance records from Trapeze EAM on the Maintenance tab of the Vehicle Assignment screen.
- Automatically assign vehicles with poorer fuel efficiency to short blocks, or assign vehicles with higher odometer reading to shorter blocks.
- Create a service request for Trapeze EAM instead of a maintenance record in OPS when assigning a vehicle to a block, unassigning a vehicle from a block, or creating a change out.
- Import information from Trapeze EAM about which vehicles are out of service due to maintenance for the current and following days.
Trapeze EAM can give vehicle availability information to OPS in real time.
When vehicle maintenance records are imported from Trapeze EAM for the current and following day, OPS decides which vehicles are unavailable for service.
The system is typically configured to automatically import vehicle maintenance records at a specified time interval. However, you can also import vehicle maintenance records on demand.
If you import a maintenance record that doesn't exist in OPS, the system creates a new maintenance record in OPS. If the vehicle on maintenance is assigned to work, the system unassigns all work during the maintenance period. If the maintenance type doesn't currently exist in OPS, then the system creates the new maintenance type in ancillary data.
If you import a maintenance record that already exists in OPS, the system updates the time, maintenance type, and comments in the record, if required. If the maintenance period in the record has been extended, the system unassigns the vehicle from any additional work.
If a maintenance record no longer exists for a vehicle that had an open-ended maintenance record, the system assigns the current date and time as the end date and time for the maintenance record.
If you import a maintenance record that has an AssetWorkID, OPS uses the AssetWorkId and VehicleNumber to find any existing maintenance records and delete or update them as appropriate. If the imported record has FromDate=ToDate and FromTime=ToTime then the existing record is deleted. Otherwise, the vehicle information is updated.*
