Assigning Requirements using OPS Block Requirements

Requirements must be assigned to blocks and vehicles before auto-assigning blocks and vehicles.

When you automatically assign blocks and vehicles, the system tries to assign blocks and vehicles with matching requirements. For example, a block might require a vehicle of a certain size.

In the OPS Block Requirements screen, vehicles that have requirements are marked with an icon in the Requirements column. The screen also shows the bus type and the division, service group, and line group to which it belongs.

  1. Open the OPS Block Requirements screen.
  2. Select Context (F3).
  3. Complete the fields:
    1. Agency. Select an agency.
    2. Sign-Up Period. Select a sign-up period.
    3. Division. Select the divisions to include.
    4. From Date. Select the start date.
    5. To Date. Select the end date.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Select a block.
  6. In the screen toolbar, select Characteristic Requirement: Characteristic Requirement
  7. Complete the fields:
    1. From Date. Enter the start date for this requirement.
    2. To Date. Enter the end date for this requirement.
    3. Required Characteristic List. Select the required characteristics for the block.
    4. Optional Characteristic List. Select the optional characteristics for the block.
    5. Comment. Add any relevant information regarding the requirements.
  8. Select Apply.
  9. Optional: To delete a characteristic requirement, do the following:.
    1. Select Characteristic Requirement: Characteristic Requirement
    2. Right-click on the characteristic to be deleted and select Delete.
