About Building Trips with Incremental Properties Options

The setting in the FX Properties for run times mode can be set to Incremental or Max Incremental allowing you to compare the total running times. It is set to Fixed by default.

Since the Run Times Mode setting is dynamic, if you choose another option, some of the trips you previously built may show an N (without integrity) in the INT column.
Note: All Trapeze FX application users at your transit site MUST use the same run time mode to ensure data integrity. In other words, the same run time mode must be used by all users.

When you choose the Incremental option, it means that when you build your trips instead of building the trip to the end of the pattern and showing the total running time, a node to node pair may jump to the next interval of the same pattern if it exists.

If you are in the Incremental running time mode, the system compares the total running times and displays a (>) greater than or less than (<) sign depending on the results of the comparison. A > sign means that the running time is getting longer or increasing while a < sign means that the running time is getting shorter or decreasing. If the total running times are equal, an equal sign (=) appears.
