Splitting Fixed Route Blocks

Split a block into two or more separate but associated blocks as needed.

  1. Open the Vehicle Assignment screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select the block to split.
  3. Select Split or Undo Split Block: Split or Undo Split Block

  4. To look up the split time based on a route location:
    1. In the Block Details area, select the time range for which to split the block.
    2. In the Time Points area, select the location and time at which to split the block.
    3. Select Apply Time.
      The selected time appears in the Split Block area fields.
  5. To enter the split time manually, enter the time in the 1st Split To field.
  6. Select Split.
    If a vehicle was assigned to the block, the Create Maintenance dialog appears.

If prompted, you can create a maintenance record:
  1. Select the maintenance Type.
  2. Set the start time for the maintenance in the From Date and Time fields.
  3. Set the end date of the maintenance in the To Date and Time fields.
  4. Optional: Enter Comments.
  5. Select OK.
If Trapeze OPS is integrated with Trapeze EAM you can create a service request:
  1. When prompted to create a service request, select Yes.
  2. In the Create Service Request dialog, specify the service request information.
  3. Select OK.
    The block is split and a new block record appears in the blocks pane. You can assign a vehicle to the new block.
You can split the block without creating a maintenance record:
  1. Select Cancel.
