Setting the Work Planner Context

Setting the screen Context (F3) shows and filters data related to your task.

  1. In the Work Planner screen, open the Context (F3).
  2. In the Agency Calendar tab:
    1. Select the Agency to view.
    2. Enter the first and last dates for viewing information in From Date and To Date.
  3. In the Top View tab select your Current Active View from Employee View or Work View.
    This information is shown in the top pane of the Work Planner screen.
  4. In the Bottom View tab select your Current Active View from Employee View, Work View or Disable.
    This information is shown in the bottom pane of the Work Planner screen. If you selected Disable, the bottom pane is blank.
  5. If you selected Employee View for either the Top View or Bottom View:
    1. Select the divisions, employee types, employee status types, bid units, bid categories, and absentees to show in the view.
      The selections will include either bid units or bid categories. This is determined by the OPS > WorkPlanner > Context > Bid Filtering property.
    2. If you want a threshold of absent days before showing an absent employee, select Absences-Minimum Period (Days) and enter the number of days to use as the threshold.
    3. Select the Sort By values to use when sorting the data shown in the Work Planner screen.
  6. If you selected Work View for either the Top View or Bottom View:
    1. Select the divisions and work types to be shown in the view.
    2. Select the Sort By values to use when sorting the data shown in the Work Planner screen.
      To include JobClass in the Work Planner screen and in the Sort By options, your system administrator must enable the OPS > WorkPlanner > Show Job Class property.
  7. In the Color tab double-click a color to change it.
  8. If a Line Group tab appears, you can see work or employees who have work in a specific line group:
    1. Select Advanced Filter.
    2. In the Line Group list, select the line group for viewing work or employees.
    3. To see employees who have one or more work assignments in the specified line group, select Filter Employee View.
    4. To see work in the specified line group, select Filter Work View.
  9. If a Work Name Series tab appears, you can see work or employees who have work in a specific work name series:
    1. Select Advanced Filter.
    2. In the Work Name Series list, select the work name series for viewing work or employees.
    3. To see employees who have one or more work assignments in the specified work name series, select Filter Employee View.
    4. To see work in the work name series, select Filter Work View.
