About Working With Real Time Views in Dispatch Manager

Real time views provide information about demand response operations in real time—that is, as events occur.

Using real time views allows you to keep track of multiple incidents and be notified of any pending issues. You can create custom sets of real time views to show only the runs and run data that you need to perform your dispatching duties efficiently. Once you have added sets of real time views to Dispatch Manager, you can use these sets to facilitate your daily dispatching duties.

In addition, depending on the situation, you may be able to correct issues by right-clicking on the appropriate event and performing a task from the menu that appears. The following are examples of what you can do from a view:

  • Arrive and perform trips
  • Schedule unscheduled trips
  • Mark events as unsent or sent
If you are looking at a set with multiple views shown, make sure that all the information you want to see is accessible. You should also make sure that your views show pertinent information, but without many unnecessary details. The example below shows a set with multiple views.
Dispatch Manager's real time views with call-out arrows for Scrollbars, Splitter bars (for the inner panes), and the lower right arrow.

To make reading the views easier:

  • Use the splitter bars to resize panes. Click the bars (the pointer turns into a two-sided arrow when hovering) and drag to adjust pane height and inner pane width.
  • Use the horizontal scroll bar for each pane to see columns that are not immediately visible. Use the horizontal scroll bar for all panes to see views that are not immediately visible.
  • Alternatively, click the lower left and right arrows to show views that aren't immediately visible.

If you find that the views have more information than you need, you can remove unnecessary columns to simplify the display.

Real Time Views only show data for the LIVE schedule type (as defined by a system administrator in the Trapeze6 Client Shell using the PASS > PassInfoServer > Defaults > ScheduleTypeId context property). Schedule Types are defined in Schedule Administrator. Typically, LIVE Schedule Types are defined as Type ID 1.
