Returning Employees to Work

Employees may be required to return to work for some absences. Record their actual or expected date of return so they're assigned work.

In Absence Types ancillary data, absences that can use the Return To Work option must meet the following criteria:
  • The Open Ended Flag is selected.
  • The Return to Work Flag must be set to either Return to Work Processing Required or Secured Return to Work Processing.
Your agency might have a deadline (for example, noon on the day before the employee returns) when absent employees must report they're coming back to work to receive their regular work assignment. When you return an employee to work, the date and time are recorded.
  1. Open the Employee Profile screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select an employee and then Absences.
  3. Select the appropriate absence and then Return To Work: Return To Work
