Modifying Suspensions

After a suspension has been issued, it can be modified.

Before you begin

Open the Service Infractions module to the Cases tab.

About this task

The suspension can be forgiven, or the suspension duration can be edited.
Note: Forgiving a suspension will unflag the time period in Flagged Period policies, for example, the next time the client gets suspended, their case will be moved to same level (not higher).

This also applies to policies with Violation Calc type set to Suspensions. The incident will be removed from the client’s suspension history, and the next time the client is suspended, their case will not be transitioned to a higher suspension level.

Procedure

  1. In the policy list, for the policy being used, click Suspended and then one of the suspended phases.
    For example, Subsequent Violations.
  2. Select the case card of the case to be updated.
  3. Click Modify Suspension.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Update the Forgive Suspension field.

      Click Yes to forgive the current suspension.

    • Update the Suspension Duration.
  5. Click OK.
