About Continuous Absence Records

Continuous absences are absences that occur on consecutive working days.

If an employee has two or more days of continuous absences with the same performance type, all absences from the date of the selected absence forward appear in the Add Performance Details dialog.

A day off between working day absences doesn't break the continuity of a continuous absence. For example, if an employee was absent on January 1, 2, and 4, but had a day off on January 3, the January 1, 2, and 4 absences appear in the Add Performance Details dialog when the January 1 record is selected in the Employee Profile screen.

If an absence has already been charged as a performance incident, neither it nor any subsequent consecutive absences appear in the Add Performance Details dialog. For example, if an employee was absent on January 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the January 5 absence is already charged as a performance incident, the Add Performance Details dialog only shows the January 3 and 4 absences when the January 3 absence is selected in the Employee Profile screen.

Consecutive absences can have different absence types, as long as they have the same performance type.

The Is Charged checkbox is only marked for the transaction selected in the Employee Profile screen. You can select Is Charged for the other absences, if in accordance with your agency policies.
