Understanding Client Eligibility

Client eligibility is a set of rules and conditions that a client must meet, sometimes within a specific area, to be able to use a Mobility-On-Demand service.

Eligibility conditions can be created and assigned to the client and to define the travel parameters for the client under that condition.

These rules are site-specific, and may fall into a variety of categories. For example, eligibility conditions can involve client criteria, such as booking restrictions (visitors, applicants with interviews, authorized travel coordinators, trip quotas), travel restrictions (required attendants, hand-to-hand custody, journeys accessible via fixed route, vehicle type restrictions), or functional restrictions (weather, path of travel, time of day, variable health).

Before you are able to assign eligibility conditions and define rules, you must create eligibility in ancillary data.
Attention:
OneMobility ancillary data is currently in development, and for the moment, must be defined in the Trapeze4 Workstation.

All the travel parameters defined for an eligibility condition are used in a booking where the eligibility condition applies. Most of the input fields, however, are optional. When no selection is made, OneMobility applies the values set elsewhere in the Client profile.

Basic client eligibility is summarized on the Certification tab in a Client profile. Information recorded on the Certification tab can include the following:
  • Eligible From and Eligible To dates
  • Medicare and Effective Date
  • Medicaid and Effiective Date
  • Whether the client has a permanent condition or is a visitor
  • Certification status of the client (for example, Approved)
