Adding Date Rules to a Master Run
Date Rules are used to define the daily, weekly, monthly, and/or yearly intervals on which the master run is activated.
Before you begin
A new run must be open
Master run option must be selected.
About this task
In the Date Rules pop-up window, DO NOT specify a date in the To Date field unless you are certain that a run ends on that date.
Before an end date has arrived for a run, make sure that any subscription trips placed on a template run are moved to another run. Otherwise, all activated live trips on this run are not matched on the designated day of service and remain unscheduled.
When the end date has arrived, you must also remember to remove the run from the template list; otherwise, it remains there after it has expired.
Procedure

Click Add Date Rules to specify when the master run
should be activated.
The Add Date Rules pop-up window opensThe Date Rules pop-up window allows you to perform the following actions:
- Define the regular intervals at which the master run is to be activated
- Suspend the run on days of exception. For example, holidays.
- Activate the master run on miscellaneous dates on which it would not typically occur.
- Optional: Turn the Show Expired Rules toggle ON to show previous Date Rules that have already expired.

Click Add Date Rule.
Date Rule 1 appears.

Select Includes or Excludes from
the Date Rule 1 dropdown list.
Note:This determines if the date rule will include or exclude the master run based on the dates you will set later on.
- Set the From Date and To Date.

Select an option from the Repeat dropdown list:

- If you select, Daily, Weekly or Yearly, the following dropdown lists appear:
- If you select Month by Date, the following dropdown lists appear:
- If you select Monthly by Day, the following dropdown lists appear:
- If you select Holiday, the following dropdown lists appear:
- Click Sync Now to sync the date rule that will become the recurring dates for the master run.
- Optional: Enter the start date of the Date Rule and click Check to confirm when the master run will be activated.
- Click Save.
