Choosing a Paraservice Type

Depending on your system set up, clients may have one or more associated paraservice types.

Before you begin

Trip Booking must be open.

About this task

The Paraservice list allows you to choose a paraservice type for the booking.

If the Paraservice type required property (found in File > Properties, on the Booking Screen tab) is set to Yes, a booking cannot be saved unless a paraservice type is selected.

If the system has been set up to check Para Service Area rules, all bookings are subject to a check depending on the selected service type and the rules associated with it.

Procedure

  1. Select a client and create a trip.
    At minimum, a Date, Client, Req time, Origin, and Destination should be defined.
  2. Click the Detail tab.
  3. Click a ParaService type in the list.
    The ParaService list with DAR selected. The MaxOBT, Group, Bed, Curb, and Door options are also visible.
    The default paraservice type for the client is set in Client Registration on either the Detail tab (if clients can have only one associated paraservice type) or on the ParaService Types tab (if clients can have multiple associated paraservice types).
    If you click N/A, no check of paraservice rules are applied to the booking.
    Paraservice types with an asterisk are associated with the client.
  4. Continue adding information about the trip as needed.
  5. Do one of the following:

    Save the booking for batch scheduling laterClick the Save button:
    Diskette.
    Schedule the booking immediatelyClick the Schedule button:
    Three times: 1:07, 1:10, and 1:40.
