Setting the Daily Activity Screen Context

Setting the screen Context (F3) shows and filters data related to your task.

The work pane only shows records for days that are activated.
  1. In the Daily Activity screen, open the Context (F3).
On the Work tab:
  1. Enter the Date to view.
  2. Select the Agency and Division(s) to view.
  3. Optional: Select Advanced Filtering:
    1. Select the Work Types to show.
      The level of detail you can select here is determined by the setting of the OPS > Dispatch > Daily Activity > Context > Work Selection property.
    2. Select Open Work Only to only show work without assigned operators.
    3. Select Not Signed On Only to only show work where an operator hasn't reported in.
    4. Select Bid Exception Only to only show work where someone other than the person who bid for the work is assigned the work.
    5. Select Pull Out Only to only show runs that pull out of a garage.
      If you select this option, standby work and work that starts at street relief points doesn't appear.
    6. Select Sign On and set a time frame to show work with particular sign-on times.
    7. Select Sign Off and set a time frame to show work with particular sign-off times.
  4. Optional: Select Hide Canceled Service to hide canceled runs.
    If you don't select this option, canceled runs appear in red text with a strike-out line.
  5. Optional: Select Hide Open Bid Stand-by Work to remove stand by work which has no employee assigned.
    This option is only available if the OPS > Dispatch > Daily Activity > Enable Option to Hide Open Bid Stand-by Work property is selected.
  6. Select Enable Auto-refresh to automatically refresh data in the screen.
On the Employees tab:
  1. Select each Division to view.
  2. Select each Employee Type to view.
  3. In Employees, select the Daily Employees, Extraboard List, Volunteer List, and Other Employees to view.
    Unassigned employees include active employees who aren't assigned to work or the extraboard and don't have absences on the day.
  4. Optional: Select Use Work Division Context Settings to view employees for the divisions selected on the Work tab.
  5. Optional: Select Hide Absent Employees and Regular Day Off Employees to view only employees who are available for work.
On the Quick Filter tab:
  1. Optional: Select Disable to turn off filtering.
  2. Optional: Select Work Type and select the type to filter by.
  3. Select Absence Type or Absence Reporting Group and select the types or groups to filter by.
    The OPS > Workforce Management > Employee Absence Monitor > Display Method property setting determines whether you see Absence Type or Absence Reporting Group.
  4. Select OK.
To show employees in the order in which they should be assigned to work (in the employees view), right-click in the column header and select No Sort: No Sort

To see detailed information about a piece of work, select a record in the work list view (information appears in the work details view).
