Mobility Aids
Mobility aids are the tools and personnel that clients require to help them get from point A to point B.
Clients requiring mobility aids may take longer to get on or off the vehicle. For each mobility aid you create, you can also type load and unload times, which are measured in minutes.

| Type | One to three letter code representing the mobility aid type. |
| Description | A description of the mobility aid. For example, Cane. |
| Load time | Amount of time it takes to load the mobility aid. |
| Unload time | Amount of time it takes to unload the mobility aid. |
| Generic Seats | Number of seats that the mobility aid may occupy. |
| SubMobAids | Corresponding mobility aid. Note: If a mobility aid cannot be used without a
second mobility aid, the required mobility aid can be assigned here. |
| Sort Order | Number to rank and sort the mobility aids (where 1 is at the top of the list).
Note: This feature is especially useful for organizations with many types of
mobility aids at their disposal. |
| MOT Excl. | Modes of transport that are not included when the system searches for solutions for bookings that include this mobility aid. |

| Affects Capacity | If the mobility aid (for example, scooter) occupies a significant amount of space on the vehicle, then a new column is created for the mobility aid next to all other space types on the Capacities tab of the Vehicles screen. |
| Garage PickUp |
The mobility aid must be picked up at the garage prior to picking up a passenger who requires it. Selecting this check box allows for enough travel time to perform the mobility aid pick-up. For example, a site that provides transportation for children has an inventory of child safety seats that is kept at its garages. To set up the child safety seat as a mobility aid, the Garage Pickup check box must be selected to ensure that the seat is picked up and that travel time is allotted for the pick-up. This check box can be used with the Is Occupied check box. |
| Is Occupied |
Use this check box with the Garage PickUp check box. If a booking contains a mobility aid that is already in use on the run, the vehicle must return to the garage to pick up another mobility aid. Note: A mobility aid that is not in use while the client is on the vehicle, for example, a device to aid mobility on stairs, does not require the Is Occupied check box to be selected. See the example in the Garage PickUp description. If another booking requires a child safety seat, and the children are on board the vehicle at the same time, the vehicle must return to the garage to pick up another seat for the second child. |
| Driver Assist | Indicates that a second driver is required to assist the client at a pick-up and/or drop-off where this mobility aid is being used. |
| Is Booking Selectable | The mobility aid can be selected on the Detail tab in Client Registration, the Detail tab in Trip Booking, and in Quick Booking. Mobility aids that are not selectable will also be removed from the Mobility Aids filter list in Trip Administration. |
| Is Address Selectable | The mobility aid can be selected in the Origin and Destination frames in Trip Booking. |
