Polygon Types

Categories or classifications of the polygons that will be defined in the Trapeze4 Workstation. For example, ADA or Parks.

Polygons or zones are enclosed areas defined on the system map. Polygons are created to define Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and service areas, outline school districts, and create boundaries for faring. Polygon boundaries restrict client mobility and determine service routes. You must define polygon types if your transit site uses polygons.

Because multiple polygons overlap on the map, it may be hard to distinguish individual polygons. You can work around this overlap by categorizing polygons according to type.
