About Waivers
Waivers allow employee work assignments to violate work assignment rules. They can be created or viewed in the Employee Profile screen.
If you create work rules in OPS Work Assignment Rules ancillary data with Waiver selected, you can create waivers allowing employees to be assigned to work even when that violates the rule.
For example, if employees can work a maximum of 10 hours per day, but one operator can work up to 12 hours a day on Sundays and Mondays, you can create a waiver for the operator. As a result, when work is assigned to the operator on Sundays and Mondays, a violation message doesn't appear when the employee works more than 10 hours.
The permissions determine whether you can view and edit waivers.
Note: Waivers must not contravene state, provincial, or federal guidelines.
