Assigning Suggested Work to an Employee
Suggested work can be assigned to employees in the Daily Activity screen.
- Open the Daily Activity screen and set the Context (F3).
- In the employees view, select the extraboard or volunteer operator to be assigned.
-
Select Suggest Work:
- Optional:
Select Show Ineligible Work to see work that can't be
offered to the employee.
Work that can't be offered to the employee is shaded in the middle pane of the dialog, and the Response column indicates if the employee is ineligible for the work. The Violations column indicates why the work can't be offered to the employee.
- In the Method of Contact list, select the method for contacting the employee to offer the work.
- Optional: To change the contact method, select Roll Back and choose a new contact method.
- Select Apply.
-
After trying to contact the employee, do one of the
following:
- If the employee accepts the work, select Accept. The selected work is assigned to the employee.
- If the employee refuses the work, select Refused. The system records the refusal and selects the next eligible employee.
- If the employee doesn't respond to the offer of work, select No Answer. The system records that there was no answer and then selects the next eligible employee.
- If you left a message for the employee, select Left Message. The system records that you left a message and you can't offer the work to the next eligible employee. The system waits for you to record a response from the employee, even if you close and reopen the dialog.
- If you don't select Accept, Refused, No Answer, or Left Message; Waiting For Response remains in the Response column of the Employee Suggestions For Work dialog for the open work. Depending on system properties, the offer of work may expire after a specified period of time.
