Canceling Selected Trips in a Piece of Work

Trips can be canceled in a piece of work as needed.

You can cancel selected trips in a piece of work, regardless of whether an operator is assigned to the work or not. For example, if an operator misses trips in a run because of bad weather, you can cancel the trips while preserving the run for timekeeping purposes. You can't cancel selected trips in pieces of extra work.
  1. Open the Daily Activity screen and set the Context (F3).
  2. Select the piece of work for which to cancel trips.
  3. Select Cancel or Resume Service: Cancel or Resume Service
  4. Select Cancel Trips.
    The Cancel Trips dialog appears. The Available Trips pane shows all trips in the piece of work. The Canceled checkbox is selected for any trips that have already been canceled.
  5. Optional: To see a trip’s locations and times, select the trip in the Available Trips pane. Trip locations and times appear in the Nodes of trip pane.
  6. In the Available Trips pane, select the trip or trips to cancel. To select multiple adjacent trips, hold down the Shift key while selecting the trips. To select multiple trips that aren't adjacent, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting the trips.
  7. In the Canceled Reasons list, select a reason for canceling the trip.
  8. Select Cancel Selected Trips.
