OPS Vehicle Characteristics Types

OPS Vehicle Characteristics Types ancillary data defines the vehicle characteristics associated with vehicle characteristic requirements.

Characteristics are assigned to vehicles to help determine if they're eligible for assignments. After defining OPS Vehicle Characteristics Types ancillary data, define OPS Vehicle Characteristics Requirements ancillary data.

Field Description
Characteristic Abbreviation Characteristic Abbreviation.

For example, Coaches with APC.
Characteristic Id Unique numeric characteristics type identifier.
Contains Characteristic List Specifies the other characteristics that are automatically possessed by vehicles that have this specific characteristic.
Description Description of the characteristic.
Expiration Flag If selected, this characteristic can expire.
Expiration Threshold Number of days before the characteristic expires (based on the To Date in the OPS Vehicle Profile - Characteristics record), that a warning is issued during day activation.
Note: This requires the OPS > Yard Management > Vehicle Profile > Characteristics > Expiration Notification Method property be defined as Activate Day.
