Labor Accts
Labor Accts ancillary data defines general ledger (GL) account numbers for allocating labor costs at your agency.
A column appears in the Labor Accts ancillary data screen for each GL account number component. Account number components are defined in Labor Acct Config ancillary data.
For example, if account numbers consist of cost center, account and project number components, a column appears in the Labor Accts screen for each of these components. You can then choose a value in each column to define available account numbers.
GL account numbers can include wildcard characters. When labor costs are allocated to an account number with wildcard characters, the system checks component inheritance values to determine component values. For example, if the primary inheritance value for a component is EmployeeDivision, the account number component value is inherited from the employee’s division. If an account number isn't associated with the employee’s division, the system checks the secondary inheritance value. For example, if the component’s secondary inheritance value is WorkDivision, the account number component value is inherited from the work’s division. Parts of an account number can be inherited from work divisions, employee divisions, employee types, employees, or employee job types.
You can view components’ primary and secondary inheritance values in component lists in the Labor Accts ancillary data screen.
